The top tax bracket in the 1950s created the middle class, paved the nation’s highways, paid for college degrees via GI Bill, and influenced corporations to invest in their employees’ salaries/invest in factories/equipment to lower their taxable income.
Now, we just have stock buybacks, stagnant wages, and off-shored trillions avoiding taxes.
